How long does yoga work?

The effects of 'Yoga for Healthy Lower Backs’ programme are both short and long-term.  The lessons teach the participant how they can help themselves to bring postural improvements and mental focus into their daily lives.  The research showed that benefits were still found a year after starting the yoga programme.  The research showed that 9 months after their 12-week course finished, the majority of the research trial's yoga group were practising approximately 30 minutes twice a week at home.
